Kick chat badges are small icons shown next to a username in chat. The Kick badges list below says what each one means. Some come from the viewer's own activity, such as the Level badge for watch time or a subscriber badge. Others are given by a streamer, such as VIP and OG, or shown for a role. None of these can be bought. Only four collectible global badges change hands, and only with the account.
What do Kick chat badges mean?
A Kick chat badge tells you something about the person typing. It can show how long they have watched, whether they subscribe, or what role they hold. Global badges appear across all channels. Channel badges, such as subscriber, OG, VIP and Moderator badges, belong to one streamer's community.
You choose which global badges to show from chat. Click the settings icon in chat, pick Identity, and look under Global badges. That menu holds your Level badge and any collectible badge the account has pulled.

What is the Kick Level badge?
The Level badge is a number next to your username in chat. It reflects how much live streaming you have watched. It goes up automatically as you watch. There is nothing to sign up for, and no chat activity is needed.
Kick's help article on Level badges sets out the rules:
- Any live stream counts towards your progress, whatever the content.
- You need to be logged in for your watch time to count.
- Levels only go up. You cannot lose a level.
- Only watch time after the levelling system launched counts.
- You can check your level and progress by clicking your avatar in the top right while logged in.
The Level badge is turned off by default. To show it, click the settings icon in chat, choose Identity, then select your level badge under Global badges. A Level badge cannot be bought. It comes only from watch time on that account.
How do Kick subscriber badges work?
A subscriber badge is an icon shown next to a viewer's name after they subscribe to a channel. It appears in that channel's chat, and each streamer sets their own. Only streamers in Kick's Affiliate or Partner programme can add them.
The streamer uploads each badge as a PNG file with a transparent background. The upload sits in the Streamer Dashboard under Channel, then Community, then Sub Badges. The badge changes on its own as a subscription reaches new milestones. Kick's help article gives 1, 6 and 12 months as examples.
The viewer does nothing beyond subscribing. The badge appears next to their name automatically. It comes with the subscription and cannot be bought on its own.
What is the difference between sub badges and global badges?
A sub badge belongs to one channel, while a global badge appears across all channels. A streamer designs and uploads sub badges for their own chat. Global badges come from Kick, through watch time or a Daily Rewards pull.

What are the Kick OG and VIP badges?
OG and VIP badges are given by a streamer to important members of their community. Once awarded, they appear at the start of the viewer's name in chat messages. The streamer hands them out in the Streamer Dashboard, under Roles.
OG badge
A streamer can give the OG badge to up to 50 viewers. It is awarded under Roles, then OGs. The viewer must follow the channel first. The streamer can remove it from the same page. There is no way to buy an OG badge.
VIP badge
A streamer can give the VIP badge to up to 100 viewers. It is awarded under Roles, then VIPs. As with OG, the viewer must follow the channel first, and the streamer can remove it. A VIP badge cannot be bought either.
What is the Kick Founder badge?
Kick's Level badges help article says the Founder badge should be given to a channel's first 100 subscribers. Like the other role badges, the Founder badge is not for sale.
What do the Verified, Moderator, Broadcaster, Staff and Sub Gifter badges mean?
These badges mark a role or an action on Kick.
- Verified: shown by accounts Kick has verified.
- Moderator: shown by viewers a streamer has made moderators of their channel.
- Broadcaster: shown by the channel owner in their own chat.
- Staff: shown by Kick staff.
- Sub Gifter: shown by viewers who have gifted subscriptions in a channel.
Each of these comes with a role or an action, and none is sold as a badge.
Which Kick badges can you buy?
Only the four collectible global badges from Daily Rewards change hands, and only with the account that holds them. They are the Unikorn, Golden K, GOAT and FLYBY. A badge is bound to the account that pulled it. It cannot be traded, gifted or moved, so the account is what is sold.
Daily Rewards is Kick's daily chest. After at least 1 hour of watch time in a day, the Claim Reward button activates. The claim plays a roulette-style reveal. Rewards are chat emotes and badges. The four collectibles sit in two tiers:
- Unikorn (Mythic): $12,000. Its rate is reported at 0.0005% per claim, or 1 in 200,000. Kick publishes no odds, so treat that figure with care. See the Kick Unikorn badge page.

How do you show a global badge in Kick chat?
You pick it from chat itself: the settings icon, then Identity, then Global badges. That is the path KICK Support gives. Select the badge there and it shows beside your name in chat. A chest collectible also sits in the collectibles row on the account's public profile, which is where anyone, a buyer included, can check it.
If a badge is not showing, check that you are logged in to the account that holds it and that it is selected in that menu.

Can you buy a Kick OG or Verified badge?
No. A streamer gives the OG badge to up to 50 viewers who follow the channel. The Verified badge is shown by accounts Kick has verified. Neither is sold as a badge.
Does a Level badge mean an account has a collectible badge?
No. A Level badge reflects watch time only. It says nothing about whether the account holds a Unikorn, Golden K, GOAT or FLYBY. Those four come only from Daily Rewards.
Why does my Level badge not show in chat?
Kick turns the Level badge off by default. Click the settings icon in chat, choose Identity, and select your level badge under Global badges. You also need to be logged in for watch time to count.
